Premier Cottage Collection Manager's House

4300 sq. ft. / 10 Guests

The Premier Cottage Collection Manager’s House at Waimea Plantation Cottages is a historic 4,300-square-foot craftsman-style oceanfront bungalow designed for guests who want generous space, plantation-era character and a direct sense of place on Kauai’s west side. Set within the resort’s 43-acre oceanfront grounds bordering a black-sand beach, this distinctive cottage offers Pacific views and a residential atmosphere for families, friends or wedding parties staying together. With five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, the Manager’s House sleeps up to 10 guests. Like the resort’s restored plantation-era cottages, it includes a full kitchen, living area and private lanai, creating an easy setting for shared meals, quiet mornings and time together between island outings. Its spacious layout gives larger groups room to gather while still allowing privacy across multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Waimea Plantation Cottages is not an all-inclusive resort, so meals and activities are not bundled into a single package. Guests can make the most of included resort amenities such as Wi-Fi, pool and beach access, beach loungers and towels, housekeeping, in-room coffee and safe, laundry facilities, a lending library, computer access and parking. The oceanfront outdoor pool, hammocks, shuffleboard, sand volleyball, barbecue grill stations, board games and free self-serve guest laundry add to the relaxed cottage experience. For dining, Chicken in a Barrel BBQ is the casual on-site restaurant and bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, with American fare, pizza and barbecue available for dining in or taking back to the cottage.

Premier Cottage Collection Manager's House FAQs

The cottage sits directly oceanfront on Waimea’s black-sand beach, with wide Pacific views from the lanai and surrounding lawn. The water here runs a murky grey-brown from the nearby Waimea River rather than clear turquoise, but the setting is dramatic, quiet and unlike anywhere else on Kauai, with sunset views toward Niihau a real highlight.

The Manager’s House has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms spread across 4,300 square feet, sleeping up to ten guests comfortably. It suits multigenerational families, wedding parties or groups who want their own private rooms rather than one shared space.

Yes, the cottage includes its own private lanai overlooking the oceanfront grounds, ideal for morning coffee, shared meals or simply watching the surf from the black-sand beach just steps away.

Guests have a full kitchen for preparing group meals, a spacious living room with plantation-era craftsman details, and enough room throughout the cottage for a large group to gather together while still having private space to retreat to.

It’s the largest and most distinctive category at Waimea Plantation Cottages, a historic craftsman-style bungalow with five bedrooms, compared with the one- to five-bedroom range found across the rest of the property. It also doubles as the resort’s primary wedding and event venue.

Along with the cottage itself, guests get Wi-Fi, pool and beach access, beach loungers and towels, daily housekeeping, in-room coffee and a safe, free self-serve laundry, a lending library and parking right outside the cottage.

Very much so. It’s the resort’s primary event venue, with most ceremonies held under the property’s large banyan tree just in front of the cottage and receptions on the lawn or under a tented dance floor nearby.

The black-sand beach and oceanfront pool are a short walk across the lawn from the Manager’s House, and Chicken in a Barrel BBQ, the resort’s on-site restaurant, is an easy stroll within the grounds.

Yes. With five separate bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and shared living and kitchen space, it’s built for exactly this kind of group travel, letting everyone gather for meals while still having their own room at night.

Because it’s the resort’s main event space, availability can be tighter around wedding season. There’s no elevator or resort shuttle, but parking sits right outside the cottage, and the pool and beach both require a short walk across the lawn.
